How to Remove Grass Stains

Grass stains are one of the most challenging types of stains to remove from fabrics. Follow these steps to remove grass stains from both colored and white clothes with Clorox 2® Pre-Treat Stain Remover Spray:

1. Remove

   Remove the garment: do not treat clothing while wearing it.
2. Test

   Test for colorfastness by applying the Clorox 2® Pre-Treat Stain Remover Spray to a hidden area on the fabric. Wait 10 minutes, rinse with water and let it dry. If the fabric color is affected, do not use this product.
3. Remove

   Remove all loose dirt from the fabric and blot wet stains with a clean absorbent cloth.
4. Spray and Wash

   Spray Clorox 2® Pre-Treat Stain Remover Spray directly onto the fabric, covering the entire stain. Wait 10 minutes and then wash immediately with an all or mostly colors load for colored garments, and an all or mostly whites load for white garments.

As an alternative, you can use Clorox® Bleach or Clorox® Scented Bleach for removing grass stains on white clothes. Follow these simple steps for pretreating and washing:

1. Rinse

   Rinse to remove loose soil.
2. Soak

   Fully soak garment for 5 minutes in a solution of 4 tablespoons (60 ml) of Clorox® Bleach or Clorox® Scented Bleach for every 2 L of water.
3. Wash

   Add your pretreated items into the washing machine with your favorite detergent and start your normal wash cycle. Just remember to always check the fabric care label and wash instructions before washing.
